I grew up in Illinois and studied engineering at the University of Illinois, graduating at the top of my class and with highest honors. Then I went to Berkeley Law, where I was a senior editor on the California Law Review and finished Order of the Coif. I took (and passed) the July 2010 California bar exam and then traveled in Europe for two months.
In January, I will join Orrick's Emerging Companies Group in Silicon Valley, where I will counsel start-ups, VC firms, and investment banks. And I still can't believe that's a real job.
